There's no keeping some people down.
This afternoon my mother had a major operation. It lasted about 4 hours and she was cut right down her middle. We didn't get to hear any news until after 6:45 this evening when they brought her back up. At five minutes past eight she rang to ask why none of us had been to visit her!!
We didn't go because we had been told she would still be out cold.
She also wanted to know whether my sister had picked up her magazines from the newsagents this morning and whether anyone had checked the milk delivery. We're not going to put any more money on her phone card. :-)

She's got access to the net from her bed. I hope she doesn't find this blog - She'd leave all sorts of instructions and comments on it. :-) She is ringing people up and watching the telly. You wouldn't believe she had just had a major op. She is a bit miffed about not being allowed to have anything to eat. She's not supposed to be drinking yet either but as she is doing so well they are letting her have a few glasses of water.

Oh Brilliant! Feisty lady ... take her some camomile tea bags, they might knock her out a bit and give you some peace! :)
