Confused? You soon will be.

A quote from the book 'Speedlite System - Digital Field Guide' page 62, published by Wiley.

"Because you can complete an equation a few different ways, you can change this equation based on the information you already have to find out what you want to know specifically.

  • Aperture x Distance = GN
  • Aperture ÷ GN = Distance
  • GN ÷ Distance = Aperture "

I don't think so!! You might be able to change it, but you can't change it any way you like.

To be fair it does not say "any way you like", it says "a few different ways".

if
X * Y = Z
then

Z / X = Y
Z / Y = X

I'm only confused about your apparent confusion.

anon - if

Aperture x Distance = GN

then [Aperture ÷ GN = Distance]is incorrect.

This should be

GN ÷ Aperture = Distance
